Opening for business with the tamesidewordshop

Over Lockdown in relation to creative writing, I know of tons of venues, nights, events and creative projects which sadly have had to take a break and now won’t be returning.

However, lots of new projects are now starting up to replace some of them.

One such new project, specially designed for people who live in my area, Tameside I found particularly interesting, The Tameside Wordshop.

Starting this summer, it advises people who live and work in Tameside will be able to enjoy free monthly writing workshops with estabished writers working in all different forms and genres of creative writing.

Covering areas for example such as playwriting, novel writing, short stories, poetry to writing for children, they describe their workshops as providing “ hands-on opportunities to try out writing techniques. Our workshops will be taking place in the heart of our Tameside town centres and we want to make sure our writing environments are relaxed and informal, like popping into a shop on the high street or meeting with friends in a cafe. “

They describe their workshops as “there will be something to satisfy every creative itch. You might be an established writer with a stack of publications or someone that has never put pen to paper – all are welcome.”

Each workshop will be limited to twenty places, and all workshops you are interested can easily be booked by emailing your name, phone number and Tameside postcode to [email protected].

They also have a website which more information can be found at the website below:
